Ashtabula Ford – Hadlock Road Posted!
NO TRESPASSING, NO FISHING, NO HUNTING

Yes it’s true; the Ashtabula Hadlock Ford land owners have posted their property. Enough is enough, you were warned! The OCBS signs are down and the new signs are up; NO TRESPASSING, NO FISHING, NO HUNTING. OCBS would like to take this opportunity too thank all of the steelheaders who honored the land owners wishes and did not fish in front of the house.

For the many who disregarded his wishes, shame on you, this may be the most recognized contribution you’ll ever make in your life. We can’t forget those who defecated themselves in his yard either. And certain guides, apparently unable to see, read or comprehend from neighboring PA and an Ohio guide running two Yellow Labs (maybe they are seeing-eye-dogs). You guys know better! Let all of us learn from these lessons.

On-The-Water, Hands-on Fly Casting Rap-up

The on-river seminar was a very successful event held on Saturday May, 24 2008 at Rocky River South Reservation.

The seminar was instructed by OCBS  member Will Turek of Angling Consulting Services and assisted by Jeff Liskey and Jerry Darkes.  The seminar's focus was fly/switch rod and spey casting.

The first half of the program focused on fly casting, followed by a picnic lunch. After lunch we went to the water and work on our casting. After many hours of instruction and practice you couldn't help it, you learned many thing you didn't know. It was well worth the modest investment!

Beijing 2008 Olympic Games

For those of us who watch the 2008 Olympics saw China raised the bar for organizing and presenting the 2008 games. I take my hat off to them and the athletic who participated. Thank God for technology which allow us all to take part in these games. There are no losers, everyone is a winner!
