Anniversary Water Bottle
This year is the 25th Anniversary of the Ohio Central Basin Steelheaders (O.C.B.S.). Twenty five years ago a small group of steelheaders got together and decided to form a club to promote, and protect the steelhead fishery as well as support clean water and to educate the public. We have done that and more! Today O.C.B.S. numbers about 300 members who actively pursue steelhead throughout the Great Lakes. However, we have become more than a group of fishermen and women, today we are also active conservationists who are interested in everything that affects our fishery, albeit water, air, and pollution of any type. Fishing access is also one of our major areas of concern. To honor our commitment to the fishery and environment on our 25th Anniversary, we are taking aim at the plastic water bottles that are beginning to cover our world. For our twenty fifth anniversary we are supplying all of our members with a reusable stainless steel water bottle. Why did we decide on a reusable water bottle? Every year O.C.B.S. participates in river cleanups that recover hundreds of plastic bottles. I have never found a reusable bottle! Please go to the following internet addresses and review the short links regarding plastic water bottles in the environment. Because plastic is non-degradable, it presents a great hazard not only to wildlife, but too humans who consume the animals that are effected by the plastics. We can all help to reduce trash and enhance the quality of our rivers and streams. ECO TRIP : Bottled Water (Clip 3) Video: http://link.brightcove.comPresident, Joseph Moravec

closed his shop, a very hard decision to make.
Grand River Tackle has
always been a great supporter of OCBS and has made endless
contributions to the club's programs and
steelheaders a like. We will always remember . . . . . . . .
. It's hard to say good bye; we thank you for all
that you have done!
